With great pride, we announce that as of 15 February, Mr. Mariusz Wdowczyk has officially joined Kinetik, the Polish member of the Wawa Group, assuming the role of General Manager.
Mariusz brings over 20 years of professional experience across the energy and transport sectors. Over the past decade, he has served as a member of management boards of commercial companies undergoing complex business and organisational integration (M&A) processes, while also contributing to the development of new business ventures.
For many years, Mariusz was associated with energy-sector companies within the Energa Capital Group (currently part of the Orlen Group), serving as a member of their management boards. A significant part of his career has also been dedicated to the transport industry, particularly public transport. He has held the position of President of the Management Board in several transport companies providing services at regional and supra-regional levels.
In subsequent years, Mariusz served as President of the Management Board of ARP e-Vehicles, a Polish company launching the production of zero-emission buses. Following the successful market entry of the company, he collaborated with leading zero-emission vehicle manufacturers, including those from the Netherlands, developing strategies for their expansion in the Central European market.
From June 2023, Mariusz held the position of President of the Management Board of Port Gdański Eksploatacja S.A., achieving record financial results in the company’s history. Most recently, as a partner at BencoSolutions PSA, he provided consulting services in the areas of energy, transport, and freight forwarding.
Mariusz holds Master’s and Doctoral degrees in Law from the University of Warsaw and completed postgraduate studies in commercial law at the Poznań University of Economics and Business. He is also a graduate of postgraduate programmes in management control, accounting, enterprise restructuring, and recovery at the Warsaw School of Economics (SGH). Additionally, he holds both an MBA and a DBA.
He further expanded his executive education through programmes in business management at institutions including University College London (UCL) School of Management and London Business School.
Mariusz has a strong interest in innovative transport solutions for modern urban agglomerations, developed through his participation in the Smart Cities – Management of Smart Urban Infrastructures programme at École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL) and the e-mobility programme at Institut des Technologies – École des Ponts ParisTech.
